Wellness Care, Vaccines, and Prevention
Regular checkups are important at every life stage. We recommend annual wellness exams for most adult dogs and cats, with more frequent visits for puppies, kittens, and senior pets. At each visit we record weight and temperature, review diet and activity, and discuss parasite prevention. Core vaccines for dogs include canine distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza, and rabies, while cats receive feline distemper, calicivirus, herpesvirus, and a feline specific rabies vaccine. We also offer lifestyle based vaccines such as Lyme, leptospirosis, bordetella, canine influenza, and feline leukemia.
Internal Medicine and Diagnostics
Internal medicine focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting body systems such as the endocrine, gastrointestinal, immune, lymphatic, renal, respiratory, and urogenital systems. We use bloodwork and urinalysis as core tools and can arrange in house ultrasound appointments with a board certified internal medicine specialist when needed. If advanced diagnostics such as bronchoscopy, CT or MRI scans, or endoscopy are indicated, we coordinate referral to local board certified veterinary specialists.
Radiology, Dentistry, Senior Care, and Surgery
Radiology is an important part of our diagnostic toolkit, helping us evaluate concerns such as foreign body obstructions, heart disease, and fractures. Our staff takes time to keep pets as calm and comfortable as possible during X rays, using light sedation only when necessary. We also provide dental exams and cleanings under general anesthesia, senior wellness care with bi annual exams beginning around age seven, and a range of soft tissue surgeries including tooth extraction, removal of skin masses, bladder stone removal, and cancer related procedures. Spay and neuter services are available to help prevent overpopulation and support long term health.
